After spending a year perfecting their soulful, blues rock sound in the dirty bars of Denver, Woodhouse teamed up with Brad Smalling to produce their self-titled debut EP. The album blends strong melodies with guitar-centric no frills rock and roll. To kick things off, the first track is a cheeky ear-worm aptly titled 'Bitch'. 'Truth or Consequences,' is a back to-the-classics tune of love lost and time wasted with big over-driven chords a la Tom Petty. From there, things get dark and moody with the slow-burner, 'Nothing More'. Hard-hitting 'Devil Inside' is a song about madness and the collateral damage felt if left unchecked. ‘Whiskey Moan' is the band's homage to Colfax and its bourbon-soaked neon nights. The album closes with 'Landmines'; drawing you in with subdued vocals laden with haunting imagery and building to a tumultuous wail.

The highly anticipated self-titled EP from the Denver-based outfit Woodhouse is a culmination of the longstanding musical friendship between Jake Woodhouse, Eric Gehringer, and Ian Kueht. After bringing in additional members Marc Bernardini, Jon Panek, and Michael LoNigro, the sound has matured while maintaining its reckless roots. These guys are now a band of brothers, winning fans over one pour of whiskey at a time.
